• Teach and prescribe the Word of God faithfully, focusing on clear exposition and sound doctrine.
• Conduct yourself with integrity and be an example of speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
• Guard the eternal word of Jesus Christ and strive to be an example to others.

Excerpt From The Sermon

1 Timothy 4:11-16 says, “Prescribe and teach these things. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching. Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery. Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.”

“I hear Paul tell you and me, listen to me. Remember when we read the word of God, we’re not reading the apostles’ opinion, we’re reading the word of God. And when the apostle spoke to the young Timothy and he speaks still to us, the very word of Jesus Christ, listen. He prescribed these things. It’s a command, it’s an order. In the military, you obey your superior. You don’t say, ‘I don’t feel like doing that today, sir’. You say two words, yes, sir.”
