Bible Translations For Everyone

with Tim Wildsmith
Author and Pastor Tim Wildsmith joins Michael to discuss his newest book, Bible Translations For Everyone.

Excerpt From The Interview

“Read the preface to your Bible. Usually with a heading that says translation philosophy, they explain to you how they thought they were going about this and what their process was. And I think a good example, we all know that there are multiple words for love in Greek. And we’ve all heard a pastor tell us, now this is not that word for love, it’s this word for love, and they’re doing that work for us. Same thing with ancient languages. So in the process of going from these three ancient languages into modern English, we have this translation philosophy that really guides the work of the translators.”
