About Dr. Charles Baylis

Dr. Charles Baylis has been on the faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary since 1994 and is presently a Professor of Bible Exposition. Dr. Baylis’ specialty is the literary study (i.e., the plot) of the Biblical Story. In addition, he is President and CEO of BiblicalStory, Inc. The website, www.BiblicalStory.org , educates students, pastors, professors, homeschool students, missionaries, and others in all settings including Bible studies, churches, and personal study so as to know the Biblical Story and to walk with God through Jesus as their Savior. His book, “The Serpent and The Woman” moves through the Biblical plot revealing the emotion of the familiar scenes and characters of the Bible to show the reader the single plan of God.

Dr. Baylis obtained a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University. He received a Master of Theology degree in 1985 from Dallas Theological Seminary followed by a Doctor of Theology degree in 1989 and has enjoyed making multiple trips to the Biblical sites in Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Rome. Dr. Baylis is married with three adult children and three grandchildren. His great joy is to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
