We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Carl Trueman back to inContext.
Today we’re sharing part one of a lecture series originally given at the 2019 Blue Ridge Bible Conference: Gender, Sexuality, and What it Means to be Human.
- Is gender a social construct?
- Is it possible to be a “gay Christian”?
- How should Christians respond to transgenderism and homosexuality?
- Does the Church have good news for those wrestling with their sexual identity?
Dr. Trueman’s lectures examine the challenges which accompany the current confusion over gender: Where did all this confusion come from? How will these cultural changes impact the Church’s ministry?
Listen to how the Bible shapes our understanding of human identity, gender, and sexual ethics, and consider how the Church can offer the Gospel to those who are struggling.
Dr. Carl Trueman is professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He has written more than a dozen books, including Histories and Fallacies: Problems Faced in the Writing of History, Luther on the Christian Life, The Creedal Imperative, and The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self: Cultural Amnesia, Expressive Individualism, and the Road to Sexual Revolution.
