Disability and Community in the Church
One Body, One Spirit by Dr. Paul Pettit and Jason Epps
Excerpt From The Interview
“Somebody might say, ‘Well, they have a disability, what can they really contribute?’ But God has created each one of us with His image. We’re all image bearers. We’ve all been created in the Imago Dei. So each person disabled, able-bodied, we have a gift, we have a purpose. That scriptural search for me was really enlightening. I knew Jesus did miracles, but I didn’t know that so much of scripture is filled with people who are brokenhearted and suffering.”
