“When it comes to the signs Jesus does in the book of John, everybody focuses on the Moses parallels. But we have to remember, it’s God that does these things. Moses doesn’t provide the bread, God does. This is such a high Christology, it’s so transparent, Jesus is doing God-things in the Gospel of John. We may remember that from Moses, but Moses didn’t have the power to do those things, God did. And Jesus is now doing God stuff in His ministry.”
Professor Craig A. Evans is a well-known New Testament scholar, prolific author, and popular teacher/speaker. He has taught and lectured in North America and around the world, published more than 90 books, and authored more than 700 academic and popular publications. Craig A. Evans is best-known for his contribution to work on the Gospels, historical Jesus, the Dead Sea Scrolls and archaeology of the New Testament. He regularly appears in documentaries, TV, radio, and podcast interviews. He lectures extensively and participates in archaeological digs and Holy Land tours. As well, he consults for National Geographic Society, Museum of the Bible and many others. For decades his engaging style, through live events, teaching, media and the written word, has brought the Bible to life for countless students, lay people and seekers.
