Excerpt From The Interview
“So certainly Christ would know whether or not it was a fulfilled prophecy and He looks at it as a future time. Of course, when we look at this, we see the temple was destroyed in 70 AD. The events that happened here did not happen in 70 AD with the Roman general Titus coming through Jerusalem. And so they still must be future. The problem is, there’s been no temple since 70 AD. So there has to be a temple for it to be desecrated.
That’s another reason why we believe that there must be a future third temple that’s going to be built on that temple mount. Of course, Paul talks about it in 2 Thessalonians 2 as well, harmonizing with Jesus. You have the Antichrist setting up a statue in the temple too, Revelation 13. So all of it comes together as being yet a future event.”
