Michael interviews, Cameron Doolittle, author of Joy Giving, about how to move from duty-based giving to beauty-based giving.
Michael also answers several financial questions in an Ask Dr. E Segment. He explains the Biblical context of tithes, offerings, and first fruits; and answers questions like:
Is 10% the gold standard for giving?
Should you give even while paying off debt?
Should you give off your gross or net income?
What if you and your spouse disagree on how much you should give?
And more.

About Cameron Doolittle
Cameron Doolittle is senior director of Generosity Path, an organization that spreads the message of biblical generosity around the world. Cameron had a successful career in management consulting, before leaving to launch Jill’s House, a ministry for children with intellectual disabilities. It was his experiences there, raising money from Christians, that made him start thinking about the heart of Christian generosity, and ultimately led him to join the founding team at Generosity Path. He also engages with numerous givers and foundations and has helped churches and ministries like Desiring God and YoungLife think about generosity.
Cameron is originally from Oregon, then attended Wheaton College, Stanford University, and holds a JD/MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Before entering business, he was a speechwriter and policy analyst on Capitol Hill. He and his wife Carolyn have four kids, whom they are raising in Waco, Texas.
