How Can Job Help Us With Chronic Pain?

I have chronic pain from chemotherapy damage to my nerves. Is there one thing that you learned in your three-year study of Job that helped you with chronic pain?

Excerpt From The Answer

“To me the story of Job is glimpses of faith in the midst of doubt that becomes glimpses of doubt in the midst of faith. I.e., it’s OK if we struggle, worry, wonder out loud, but for the long game, hopefully we grow to trust Him when all the props are gone. Beware of sorry comforters. Most who deal with chronic pain/ illness have a lot of well meaning friends who see some cure, treatment, remedy online or a friend who got great results. I resist calling these things snake oil, but like Job’s friends, sometimes they don’t know what they are talking about. Some truly want to help but if you, like me, have dealt with this a long time, it’s tough to hear well meaning folks’ remedies.”
