About JT Olson
JT Olson is the founder and Executive Director of the Both Hands organization. He was previously the president of an executive search firm, Haystack, Associates, Inc., for 10 years. Prior to that, JT spent 23 years with the Southwestern Company in sales and sales management.
The journey leading to Both Hands has been decades in the making. When both of his parents passed away in a car accident, JT and his four siblings found themselves orphaned. He was taken in and raised by an aunt and uncle, and now completely understands the need for millions of children in orphanages all over the world to find loving families and homes. He has a passion and a drive to help make that dream a reality, as well as to help the widows living right in our own communities who need a helping hand. JT and his wife Sara have been married for 29 years. They have four biological children, and adopted Gracie, their fifth.
About Both Hands: “To serve orphans, widows and adoptive families.”
Both Hands helps families fundraise for their adoptions. A family gathers a team of volunteers and Both Hands coaches them to coordinate a service project fixing up a widow’s home. The family and their team send letters to raise sponsorship for their day of service. The funds raised help an orphan be adopted into a forever family. Both Hands: One for the widow. One for the orphan.
