About Dennis + Barbara Rainey

Dennis Rainey is the President and CEO of FamilyLife, a subsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ. Since the organization began in 1976, Dennis’ leadership has enabled FamilyLife to grow into a dynamic and vital ministry that offers families blueprints for living godly lives.

Dennis has authored or co-authored more than two dozen books including the best selling Moments Together for Couples and Staying Close. He has also received two Golden Medallion Awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Dennis serves as the senior editor of the HomeBuilders Couples Series® which has sold over 2.5 million copies and has been translated into 47 languages.

Barbara Rainey is the Co-Founder of FamilyLife. After graduating from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, Barbara joined the staff of Cru in 1971. Barbara is a frequent speaker and resource for FamilyLife Today^®, the award winning nationally syndicated daily radio broadcast.  She is the author or coauthor of more than 35 books, including the Moments Together for Couples, andMoments With You marriage devotionals, the Growing Together series of books for families, A Symphony in the Dark and her most recent Letters to My Daughters: The Art of Being a Wife.

Having faithfully served alongside Dennis for more than 43 years, both in ministry and at home, Barbara has recently launched a new endeavor called Ever Thine Home^®.  This new line of home décor and teaching tools for families makes it easy for women to express faith at home in a way that is both biblical and beautiful.

Dennis and Barbara have six children, plus five grafted in by marriage, 25 grandchildren and counting…
