Can a Single Person Commit Adultery?

My question is if a man or woman is not married and looks at another person lustfully did he/she commit adultery?

Excerpt From The Answer

“The pious Jew, including Scribes and Pharisees understood clearly enough, adultery was a sin. They found this in the “7th commandment” of the decalogue. Interesting, and in many ways not surprising. The phrase, “looks with lust for her…” can also be translated, “so as to get her to lust”. The man looks to entice the woman to her own lust, which is even more chilling. So, simply, yes, it is sin. Now, can we differentiate between literal immorality and our thought life? Yes and no. As we are tempted, we resist, run from sin, and run to obey. And “no” in that our thought life can be a cauldron of sin. Make no mistake, what we daydream about, lust after, think about all the time, is a reflection of our heart.

Romans 12:1–3 says, ‘Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. For
through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.”
