What Happened After The Temple Curtain Tore?

When the temple curtain tore in two after Jesus died, did the Jews put a new one back up? If not, why?

Excerpt From The Answer

“Interesting question but unless we want to consider Josephus or another writer, we don’t know. Scripture is silent. The main point seems to be that entering the holy of holies, approaching God by the temple sacrificial system was obsolete because of the work of the pascal lamb. Jesus made the only way. Jesus destroyed the sin barrier between God and man by His sacrifice. The Old Covenant separated; the New Covenant makes the way. The OT sacrificial system has been a shadow and now is fulfilled.  All have access to the Father, not just the high priest.

Hebrews 10:19-20 says, ‘Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh.”
