From the episode:
You don’t have to memorize the Old and New Testaments to be blessed by the Bible. Sometimes one little verse becomes an anchor that gives you so many blessings. And, Jesus would say, just hearing it doesn’t automatically realize that potential.
You need the scriptures to recalibrate your sense of timing. Google will mess that up, not because everything Google does is bad but because Google will give you a million answers in a millisecond. And seeds don’t work that way, trees don’t work that way, human development doesn’t happen that way, and the Kingdom of God doesn’t happen that way. So, if Google has taught you that this is the right expectation, you’re going to have some issues with Jesus. He’s not a fast-food savior, He’s the Bread of Life and He takes some time.
