“I would rather have some repercussions and blowback than have my kids grow up believing something that isn’t real. It’s not only make-believe, it’s that it’s not true. Christmas is not about Santa Claus. Christmas is about the birth of Christ, for the believer. It’s about the birth of Christ. Born to die, that man might live. And this is where I do think the local church and Christmas programs are so helpful, because you can still enjoy the festivities, the gift giving, all that stuff.”
