Hunger For God (John 6:1-15)
Michael originally taught ‘Hunger For God’ (John 6:1-15) at Immanuel Bible Church.
- God often tests us in impossible situations to refine our faith and teach us endurance.
- We are insufficient and insignificant in our own resources, but God always has more than enough to accomplish His plans.
- When faced with impossible circumstances, we are called to trust and obey God.
- Counting trials as joy and relying on God’s sufficiency can lead to spiritual maturity.
Excerpt From The Sermon
“Why do we follow Jesus Christ? Beyond the obvious truth that at some point you trusted Jesus Christ, why do you follow Him? Why do you still follow Him? In this passage we see there’s many with the wrong reasons. Perhaps we follow Him for the hope of health and wealth. We don’t speak it in those terms that blatantly, but many of us would surely like God to bless us and make us successful. We follow Christ because we want to be protected from harm. Do we follow him more for hunger for food or hunger for God?”
