Excerpt From The Interview
“Comparison is a loser’s game. At the end of the day, if you compare upwards, you feel terrible, you feel backwards, and you feel arrogant, and both lose. And so at the end, it’s not healthy. But it leads to covetousness, and it leads to a deficiency mindset. That leads to competition in unhealthy forms, and then to compromise. Whereas if Christ determines the content of my life, instead of comparing, I’m going to let the One who knows me and loves me, determine what that content looks like. God made me competent. He’s given me what I need. He hasn’t given me my greed, but He’s given me my needs and that gives me compassion and then character.”
