Satisfying Spiritual Hunger (John 6:25-40)

Michael originally taught ‘Satisfying Spiritual Hunger’ (John 6:25-40) at Immanuel Bible Church.

  • Jesus Christ provides everything we need in every situation.
  • Seek satisfaction in Jesus Christ rather than in worldly desires.
  • Pray for an immovable faith and Christlikeness.
  • Miracles are not the ultimate source of satisfaction; Jesus Christ is.
  • Jesus offers eternal life, not just a religious life.

Excerpt From The Sermon

“There is only one requirement in the law, and the requirement in the law Jesus unpacks is that we believe. John 6:28 says, ‘Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”’ The crowds have seen the food and come to Him wanting more. John 6:29 continues, ‘Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”’

The people believe there is work they must do. Underneath their words is a question we all have. What do we have to do to go to heaven? There’s only one requirement or work of the law. This, however, is God’s work not man’s. Salvation can only come from God and we accept it by faith.”
