The Light of The World (John 8:12-30)

Michael originally taught ‘The Light of The World’ (John 8:12-30) at Immanuel Bible Church.

  • Jesus is the true light of the world, revealing our sin and offering salvation.
  • Belief in Jesus as the only provision for our sins is essential for eternal life.
  • Following Jesus as the light means walking in obedience and faith.
  • Without belief in Jesus, we remain in darkness and will die in our sins.

Excerpt From The Sermon

“Jesus Christ did not come by way of a rabbinical system. He did not come to be the priest and ultimately the high priest within Judaism. Jesus is the High Priest, but not within Judaism the way they would think. He didn’t come the human way, He came a divine way, humbly, lowly, a servant. He says, ‘I’m not judging anyone’. His mission is to provide salvation for people who believe in Him.

When Jesus Christ comes on the scene, there is a sense He judges because of who He is. He’s perfect. And the perfect casts perfection on the imperfect. They feel their sin and writhe. The Light of the world is bound to expose the darkness of sin.”
