The True Vine (John 15:1-11)
Michael originally taught ‘The True Vine’ (John 15:1-11) at Immanuel Bible Church.
- Spiritual stagnation is common among believers.
- A vital connection with Christ is essential for spiritual growth.
- The metaphor of the vine illustrates our relationship with Christ.
- Abiding in Christ leads to fruitfulness in our lives.
- The Father, as the vine dresser, prunes us for greater fruit.
- Abiding in Christ brings joy and glorifies God.
- Prayer should focus on glorifying God.
- Our lives should reflect the life of Christ.
Excerpt From The Sermon
“If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you are apart from Him. When you trust Christ, you are in Him. You’ve been grafted in, Paul says. I don’t think you can lose your salvation. Secondly, if a person lives in sin, if a Christian lives disobediently, God will bring pressure. Hebrews 12:4-11 says He’ll bring discipline to correct that believer. And if a person is not saved, I do not think they go away to nowhere. I think they end up in an eternal hell, a separation from God. A believer in Christ doesn’t lose his or her salvation.”
