- The intimate relationship between Jesus and His sheep is characterized by hearing His voice, recognizing Him, and following Him.
- The works that Jesus does testify to His identity as the Son of God and point to the Father.
- Jesus and the Father are one, and their powerful hand provides eternal protection for believers.
Excerpt From The Sermon
“That’s really how the world works. You get what you earn, you get what you deserve, you get what you perform to, right? This is not the case when it comes to salvation. You don’t earn it, you don’t merit it, you don’t have a laser to measure the speed with which you cross the line. Maybe that’s why we’re so compelled by the Olympics. We all feel like we need to perform in our various roles in order to be recognized and promoted. Once we get there, we have to hang on to it. On the flip side of salvation, Jesus Christ does it all and He’s the one who protects us. He’s the one who holds us.”
