Q: How Do I Know If I Am Actually Growing? If we're not in God's word, submitting to the control of God’s Holy Spirit and around God’s people, we can not grow. Nobody can continually grow on what they studied in the past if they are no longer in the Word. Are you asking God’s Spirit to control you?

How Do I Know if I Am Actually Growing?

What are some of the signs of true growth within a believer? Can we every truly tell? What allows me to say I am actually growing in my faith?

Answer

If we’re not in God’s word, submitting to the control of God’s Holy Spirit and around God’s people, we can not grow. Nobody can continually grow on what they studied in the past if they are no longer in the Word. Are you asking God’s Spirit to control you? If not, now is the best time to submit to the Lord and let Him have control of your life. Experiential Christianity also presents the danger of keeping you from growing in your faith.

If you’re an anxious person, are you calling on God to comfort you in it. He teaches us through His scripture, not a magical formula. We need to be surrounded by people who are growing in their faith that will lift us up toward him. This can be tough for introverts, but it is vital for our Christian life.
