  • Jesus is the light of the world, dispelling darkness.
  • The suffering of Jesus intertwines with His glory.
  • Jesus faced spiritual suffering beyond physical pain.
  • Believers can transform their troubles into opportunities for God’s glory.
  • Judgment occurs at the cross, dividing those who believe and those who reject.
  • The crucifixion is the means by which Jesus draws all men to Himself.
  • Faith in Jesus is essential to walk in the light.
  • God can reveal His glory through our suffering.

Excerpt From The Sermon

“Jesus says at the cross, there is a judgment occurring. And that judgment is going to accomplish three things at this juncture. The overthrow of evil, the suffering and glorification of Christ on that cross, and the drawing of men to Himself. Judgment’s a key theme in John 5, here again in John 12:31. The cross passes judgment. The nature of the crucifixion passes judgment on humanity. It represents the ultimate division between those drawn to it and those repulsed by it.”
