Is Messianic Judaism a Valid Belief?
Messianic Judaism puzzles me. You have Jewish religion, you have Christianity, then you have something created in between the two in the 1960’s with that said is messianic Judaism a valid thing–this is all weird to me. Imagine a catholic coming up with a new sect and saying yes, I have asked Yeshua into my heart, but am unwilling to break away from catholic traditions, so now they mix Catholicism with Protestantism and come up with a new sect that practices confession, participates in the eucharist, and believes in baby baptism and still follows the pope’s demands and follows the missalette anyway.
Didn’t all the apostles that were Jews convert to Christianity (believers in Christ)? Am I right in saying that they never went back to their Jewish traditions and Jewish worship? I think Paul addresses going back, or being bewitched in Galatians 1 and Galatians 5? And doesn’t it say that even devils believe in God? So, anyone can believe in Christ – but with that there should be a change or conversion of some sorts to where good works and a change are evident correct? read book of James – faith producing works, faith with no works or change is dead, correct? What do you think?
Excerpt From The Answer
“Scripture is clear. We start with the gospel. We must understand the person and work of Jesus. Specific to “how much” if any Judaism we can cling to, a careful study of the book of Acts is extremely helpful. We see the transition from Jews to Gentiles, Law to Grace, the synagogue to the church, and the nation to the world. We can see how the spread in Acts 1:8 impacted Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the remotest part of the earth.”
