In part 4 of the seek, serve, share series from Immanuel Bible Church, Michael looks at the grumblers in Israel and the great servants in Rome.
Serve Him Faithfully: Grumblers or Great Servants
In this sermon, Michael looks at the people of God in Israel versus the church in Rome and the choice we have as believers to be grumblers or great servants. Some key takeaways from the sermon include:
- A healthy church focuses on growing in intimacy with Christ, serving others, and reaching the community with the Gospel.
- Attitudes have a significant impact on the church and its members.
- Serving in the church brings fulfillment and growth in the Christian life.
- Regularly attending worship services, being involved in a small group, and finding a place to serve are essential for a thriving Christian life.
Excerpt From The Sermon
“The closer I am to Christ, the more I know what He wants from me and how I serve Him. The more intimate I am with Him, the more deeply acquainted I am with my friend Jesus Christ. He loves me and gave His life for me. The more humble and motivated I am to say, how do I serve Him? And as I serve Him and serve others, I take it one step further and say, how do I reach others to know the joy of knowing Christ? That sounds downright Biblical to me. You know, the church is not about convenience. It’s about a commission.”
