Do We All Worship The Same God?

with Michael Easley
Q: Do Jews, Muslims, and Christians all worship the same God? Is this even possible based on differing definitions of who God is?

Do We All Worship The Same God?

Do Jews, Muslims, and Christians all worship the same God?” It is challenging for me to understand the answer to this topic, especially when we talk about the definition and nature of God – believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who is eternal with God and IS God (but Muslims and Jews do not believe the same). So, how could we all worship the same God if we do not believe the same nature and definition of who and what God is?

Excerpt From The Answer

“Jesus Christ taught a Triune Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This would not align with any other use of “God” other than the Scripture’s teaching. I’ve taught at other times the centrality of the Trinity in our salvation. It is clear, apart from the work of the Trinity, there is no salvation.

Jesus taught of His own life, death, burial, and resurrection. All these are rejected by Islam and other religions. And while Muslims acknowledge Jesus was a great prophet, they deny His death as an atonement for sin or that He rose from the dead. Jews are God’s chosen people. Judaism, and all its iterations, reject Jesus Christ as Messiah. The critical question is which God? The One the Old and New Testament Scriptures speak of or other religions? The One who is the Father of Jesus Christ, the one and only provision for sin?”
